Adjusting to divorce is difficult, for the parents and children, during the process and afterward as changes occur. Children and teens can exhibit difficulty immediately in their emotions, behaviors, or school performance or the onset of the impact of the divorce can be delayed and surface much later. Separated parents often struggle with learning how to co-parent. Our office works extensively with the Court in Livingston County. We are familiar with the Court process and with many of the local attorneys and can help you navigate the changes in your life.
We offer individual therapy for the children, teens or adults involved in the divorce, as well as couple therapy as the parents learn to communicate and problem-solve when they are no longer together. We also provide child-parent therapy and supervised parenting time if there has been a disruption in that relationship.
